Reminds me of my coworker who, whenever she sees a Tesla at a gas station or something, she’ll look over and go “Wow! The new Toyotas look really cool!”

The drivers LOSE THEIR MINDS.

Another proof that these people are really snobbish. If they only cared about the car or the education they would be surprised but not offended that someone has never heard of Harvard or Tesla and they wouldn’t mind explaining and they would explain in a way that’s not pretentious such as “it’s an electric car brand” or they’ll just start talking about what they are studying. A snob would be pissed and irritated you don’t acknowledge his superiority because that’s what those things are to him - status symbols.
